When did you become a freelancer?
A little over a year ago, I decided to try my hand at freelance writing. I set up my Elance profile, and submitted a few proposals. A few days later, I was handed the reigns to the company blog of Home Movie Depot and expected to post twice per week, as well as updating the company social media accounts several times daily. For the next five months, I was on a very fast learning curve and loving every second of it. Although I am in school to be a teacher, I became more and more inclined to pursue a career as a professional writer.
Since my first big blogging gig, I have set up blogs for clients, edited dozens of my colleague’s essays and assignments, and ghostwritten ebooks on such subjects as technology, health and fitness, education, writing advice, and of course, travel.

“Rebecka was an excellent blogger and social media manager. When I gave her specific instructions, she followed them to a T. When I left her to her own devices, she came up with creative ideas and then implemented them.
She is an exceptional young person, who I look forward to working with on other projects in the future.” –Zeph Snapp, President of Not Just SEO
